AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She also serves as the captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in women's professional soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of America's women's national soccer squad together with Megan Rapinoe. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut at the club , and also helped the team win the league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years older, was the youngest player from the nation at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, where she was second. At the 2012 London Olympics she scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute in the semi-final clash against Canada. She finished 2012 with 28 goals and 21 assists and was able to join Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and score 20 assists during the same calendar year and becoming the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. The following year, she was named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year , and was a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan also helped the United States win their titles in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which included her on the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
